Privacy statement
This statement explains what personal information Bilby’s Window Cleaning collects, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
What we collect
When you request an estimate or book a service, we collect:
- Your name, email address and mobile number
- Your street address and postcode
- Details about your home, such as the number of storeys, window types and counts, screens, pets, and anything you add in the notes
- The service you choose, your estimate and your booking time
Why we collect it
We use your information to prepare your estimate, confirm and schedule your booking, carry out the work, send your invoice, and contact you about your booking. We don’t use it for anything else without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services we use to run the business, such as our booking and payment provider (Square) and our email provider, and only as much as they need to do their job. We may also disclose it where the law requires us to.
Online services we use
Our website uses Google services: Google Maps suggests addresses as you type, Google reCAPTCHA protects the estimate form from misuse, and Google Cloud stores your estimate in Sydney, Australia. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to their part.
Businesses and strata requesting a quote
When you request a commercial quote we collect your organisation's name and ABN (if given), your name, role, email and phone, the site addresses and details of the work, and which compliance documents you asked for. We use this to prepare your quote, send the documents you requested, and arrange a site visit.
Quote reminders
When we visit your business we may leave a written quote. If you agree, in person, to receive reminders of the quote we leave with you, by ticking and signing the box on it, we keep your contact and quote details and a photo of the signed quote as a record of your consent. We send up to three reminders before the quote expires (two months after it was written), and stop as soon as you accept, unsubscribe using the link in any reminder, or reply STOP. We keep the consent record after reminders stop, as evidence of your choice.
Invoices
When we invoice you, we keep the invoice and payment record for as long as tax law requires.
Email updates
If you tick the box to receive email updates, we’ll occasionally email you news from Bilby’s. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us. Not ticking the box doesn’t affect your estimate.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Square. We don’t see or store your full card details.
Information saved on your device
The quick estimate saves your progress in your browser, so you don’t lose it if your phone locks or the page closes. This stays on your device. You can clear it at any time by choosing Start again.
How we store it and how long we keep it
We keep your information securely and only for as long as we need it to provide our services and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete it.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. We’ll do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
